Game 1 was very one sided as EG’s Jeyo on the Rubik showed great skill and balance of his Dota 2 gameplay and Fear on his void, both combined earned the American roster a total of 23 kills. No Tidehunter’s AdmiralBulldog had a tough time playing Beastmaster. Overall, EG outplayed No Tidehunter and take an early lead in the Grand Finals. Right before Game 2 when the players were taking their seats Maelk made a very bold statement saying No Tidehunter was going to get stomped the next game and that Game 2 will get long only if No Tidehunter manage to slow EG down. No Tidehunter dint seem to get intimidated.

Game 2 started with No Tidehunter ambushing EG and scoring 2 kills in the process. 17 min in, a crucial point into the game at the tier 2 tower of the Dire, DeMoN on his Magnus positioned himself amidst the trees beside the tower to blink in and land a perfect ultimate but in the heat of the moment he could catch only one (Dark Seer). The fight quickly turned around against them and the score was suddenly 12-4 in the favor of nTh who quickly grab the Ages. EG successfully turtle the game for 12 min. The Ages gets re-claimed by Roshan and soon retaken by nTh. By this point, EG was completely out-farmed by nTh, The best play occurred right after EG lost their mid barracks when Magnus kills Sven who reincarnates shortly and gets damaged quite heavily down to 200hp when s4 on the Dark seer gives his cheese to Sven and before EG could realize, Sven is back to full HP and earns himself an Ultra-Kill. A very entertaining play. No Tidehunter level the series 1-1.

No Tidehunter take an early lead in the game. AdmiralBulldog’s Bounty Hunter in the safe lane completely turns around an early gank on him killing the Nature’s Prophet and Chen. With mid-lane evenly matched between Queen of Pain and Templar Assassin, nTH won the side lanes. By just 9 min into the game, DeMoN’s Prophet was suffering 0-4. Things were looking bad for EG when s4 on the Qop gets an Ultra-Kill increasing the lead to 10-1. However, from the 18min mark, EG’s good teamwork started paying off achieving better trades after team-fights. Slowly, EG looked like they had a chance to make a comeback into this game. From the 40min mark, every team-fight was absolutely great fun to watch, both teams displaying the level of Dota 2 gameplay that exists only among top professional gamers. EG managed to take the bottom melee barracks surprising nTH who ever near the Roshan pit. nTH manage to kill 2 and take the Ages soon after. After 52 min the power of No Tidehunter was just too strong to withstand and EG’s defenses finally give way and the ‘gg’ was called making the Europeans our winner of the DreamHack Vengeance Cup 2012.
